After *carefully* considering the circumstances, I've found that, in order for me to serve the public to the best of my ability, for the *good* of the *people*, keeping this journal is my *only* course of action. This seems to be my only option; my hands are tied.

[Mike Novick is from '24' fandom, and is the property of 20th Century Fox and Real Time Productions. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in , from which no profit whatsoever is being made.]
[OOC: Mike Novick is approximately sixty years old, about 5'10", Caucasian and of medium build. He wears eyeglasses almost constantly and has a tendency to both speak with his hands and verbally accent key words of his speech to convey the urgency and importance of his words. He is highly intelligent, well-educated and always acts with the fate of the greater good foremost in his mind.
Mike is a career political consultant and is currently a senior advisor to President Logan in the '24' world. He spent the majority of his career as the right-hand man to President David Palmer, with whose career he was involved for over fifteen years, from Palmer's first run for the Senate through approximately the first half of his one Presidential term in office. Mike was fired by Palmer for going behind Palmer's back to invoke the 25th Amendment of the US Constitution and remover Palmer from office in the second season of '24', after deciding that the President was hanging all his hopes of avoiding WWIII on one man (always a good idea if that man is the show's protagonist). Mike's betrayal led to a fractured relationship with Palmer and the severe neurological trauma of senior White House aide Lynne Kresge, who was injured when trying to warn Palmer of the plans of Mike and his co-conspirators.
Mike reemerged this season and is now working for the opposite political party-- in the Keeler administration. He is currently in the middle of a redemption plotline on '24', having made peace with Palmer and is working with him in a bipartisan effort to (yet again) stop impending world war.
Disclaimer: I do not own Mike Novick or anything 24 related-- Robert Cochran, Joel Surnow and Fox do-- nor am I affiliated with them or the actor (Jude Ciccolella) who plays Mike. I'm just borrowing Mike for roleplaying purposes. For the good of the people and all that.]
